01
At a glance
Ratha helps you plan and record gym training. These terms explain what we provide, your responsibilities and your legal rights. They apply to the app and website. Please read them before using Ratha. If you don't agree, don't use it.
02
Who provides Ratha
Ratha is a training app from Active Living Coach, the registered business name of a sole trader in New South Wales, Australia (ABN 83 234 439 874). “We” and “us” mean the business operating Ratha. Coaching is a separate service; using Ratha doesn't make you a coaching client.
03
Who can use Ratha
You must be 16 or older to use Ratha. If you're under 18, or not yet an adult where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission to use Ratha and to start a trial or subscription. You must use the app lawfully.
04
What Ratha provides
Ratha helps you plan and record gym training. Free tools include manual workouts, custom plans, exercise guidance, logging, history, progress and supported imports and exports. You don't need an account to use them.
Ratha Plus lets you generate new workouts and training plans, including regenerating a plan. Saved workouts and plans remain yours to use, repeat and edit where supported, with their existing automatic progression, after a trial or subscription ends. For example, you can generate and save a plan during a trial, cancel and keep following that plan.
Plans use the information you enter. Some automatically adjust future targets based on logged results. Check each workout before you follow it.
05
Training safely
Ratha creates general training plans. It doesn't work around injuries, provide rehabilitation or assess whether a workout is safe for a medical condition. Exercise filters and suggested targets don't change that.
Ratha does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and doesn't replace a qualified healthcare professional. It can't assess your technique, supervise exercise, spot a lift, inspect equipment or monitor your physical response.
When you train, you're responsible for:
- Judging your ability and choosing appropriate exercises, weights, reps and increases in training.
- Using safe equipment and surroundings, with appropriate technique, instruction or supervision.
- Checking your inputs and reviewing generated or imported plans and suggested targets before using them.
- Stopping if exercise causes pain, dizziness or other concerning symptoms. For chest pain, fainting or severe breathing difficulty, stop and seek urgent medical help.
If you have an injury, a medical condition or doubts about exercising, seek advice from an appropriate qualified healthcare professional before following a plan.
A generated plan isn't a guarantee of suitability, safety or results. Skip or change an exercise or target that isn't appropriate for you.
06
Exercise risks and responsibility
Exercise involves risks, including strains, falls and serious injury, even when you take care. By choosing to exercise, you accept the ordinary risks of that activity.
To the extent the law permits, we aren't responsible for injuries arising from those ordinary exercise risks when you follow a Ratha plan or use the app. This doesn't exclude our responsibility to the extent our negligence or breach of a legal duty causes or contributes to an injury or other loss.
Nothing in these terms takes away or limits a right, guarantee, remedy or responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude. This includes rights under the Australian Consumer Law where they apply, such as guarantees of due care and skill and rights to a remedy if a guarantee isn't met. Providing Ratha for free does not remove any rights that apply.
07
Plus subscriptions and trials
Plus is available through monthly or annual subscriptions billed by Apple on iOS, or by Google Play on Android once Ratha is available there. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Before you confirm, the purchase screen shows the currency, full charge, billing period and next charge date. An annual subscription is billed for a year at a time.
Eligible users can choose a 14-day free trial. It starts when the store authorises it and automatically becomes the paid subscription you selected unless you cancel by the offer's deadline. Store eligibility rules apply. On Apple, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a charge. You can skip the offer and use the free tools.
Manage or cancel through the store that bills you: Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation normally stops future renewal; the store confirms when access ends. Deleting Ratha or your Ratha account doesn't cancel billing.
A trial reminder is a convenience and may be delayed or missed, for example if notifications are off. Check the cancellation deadline shown by your store.
Refunds follow the billing store's process and your legal rights. You can request one through Apple or Google Play, or contact us for help. If a paid feature isn't working properly, contact us. These terms don't limit remedies you're entitled to under consumer law.
Price changes apply to future renewals. We'll give advance notice and obtain any consent required by law or the store. You can cancel before a higher-price renewal.
08
Your account and Plus access
Use an email address you control and keep sign-in codes private. One subscription gives you Plus on each supported device where you sign into the same Ratha account. Billing stays with the original store; signing in doesn't transfer training records.
Use Restore with the store account that made the purchase if access is missing. After confirmation, restoring can move a subscription to the signed-in Ratha account and remove that subscription's access from a previous account. It doesn't move your saved training or change which store bills you.
New generation needs verified Plus access. After a successful online subscription check, you can generate offline for up to 24 hours, ending earlier at a known trial or access expiry. After that, reconnect to verify access. Free tools and saved training remain usable offline and after logout or account deletion.
09
Your data and external services
Training stays on your device. Account and subscription services manage Plus access without uploading or syncing your workouts, plans or history. Our Ratha Privacy Policy explains these services, videos, exports, backups and your deletion choices.
External providers, including app stores, video and sharing services, have their own terms and privacy practices. We don't control those services.
10
Use and ownership
You can use Ratha and its plans for your own training under these terms and applicable app store rules. The software, design, branding and supplied content remain their owners' property. Your training records and content remain yours.
Use Ratha lawfully. Don't disrupt the app or website, introduce harmful code, seek unauthorised access or misuse someone else's information or content.
11
Availability and your records
We maintain and update Ratha, and features or supported devices may change. We'll give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical. Bugs and interruptions can happen; we don't promise an error-free or always-available service. Your consumer rights still apply.
Before changing devices, uninstalling or clearing app data, export any set history you want to keep. A CSV export isn't a full app backup. Keep separate copies of plans or other information you need. Your account can restore Plus access, but we don't have a server copy of your training to restore.
12
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms as Ratha or the law changes. The date at the top identifies the version. We'll explain changes that materially affect your rights or responsibilities before they take effect where practical, and seek agreement where required. The app asks you to accept updated terms before you keep using it.
13
Questions and disputes
The law of New South Wales, Australia, governs these terms, subject to mandatory rights where you live. If something needs sorting out, contact us and explain what happened. You're still free to seek advice or use an available complaint or legal process.
